HISTORY

Tony and Bobbi Griffith established Griffith Trucking, Inc. in Newton, IL in 1971. Since then they have moved to their current location in Effingham, Illinois. Broadway Express is a division of Griffith Trucking, Inc. GTI represents another Jasper and Effingham county success story. From its humble beginning as a 60x80 pole building in Newton, Griffith Trucking has grown into a medium sized corporation. We currently have over 69 company-owned late model trucks, 20 owner operators, 105 air ride trailers, a 48,000 square foot cross-dock operation, and a 100,000 square foot climate-controlled warehouse facility. We also own a captive towing company and have full-service dealerships for the following product lines: Peterbilt, EZ-GO Golf Carts, Mastercraft and Firestone tires, and Span-Set Accessories.

Griffith Trucking, Inc. started its own captive division for fulfilling the ever-increasing demands for trade shows, Broadway touring shows, specialty events, display attractions, etc. We provide the backbone for numerous Fortune 500 companies to get their most sensitive loads in time, all the time, every day of the year. Griffith Trucking, Inc. can be classified as one of the largest contract haulers of Household Goods, Electronics, Displays, and Dry Freight. We have gained a nationwide reputation for maintaining show-quality equipment and employing completely skilled contractors.

We are a proud company and feel that our fleet is superior to others on the road. We also feel that our home base is among the best locations and facilities available and that our staff works at its highest level of performance.
